Very convenient and quick to get to the terminal. However, waiting a long time to get bus back to the car park. All buses for long stay car park and not short stay, even though queue for short stay was huge and growing!!

Parking at London Stansted Airport

Passenger pick-up and drop off

If you are picking up family or friends from the airport and need to stop for less than 15 minutes then you will need to use the Stansted Airport Pick Up and Drop Off car park.

Short-term stay

If you are going to be at the airport for a stay of a few hours you will need to use Stansted short stay parking. The Stansted short stay car park is located a short distance from the terminal entrance and its just a short walk between the two.

A fast track parking service is also available within the main Stansted short stay car park. Fast track parking spaces are located immediately in front of the terminal entrance. This service has dedicated entry and exit points and wider parking spaces. The fast track short stay service is recommended for stays of up to 24 hours.

Mid-term stay

Stansted mid stay parking is an alternative option to the long and short stay car parks – located closer to the terminal than the long stay car park and therefore able to offer a faster transfer service. Stansted mid stay parking is suitable for travellers going on short breaks and business trips.

Stansted mid stay car park is known as eparking Stansted. eparking Stansted is located on the approach to the airport. The transfer service to the terminal runs every 10 minutes and takes approximately five minutes. During peak times the transfer can take longer.

Long-term stay

Stansted long stay parking is suitable for travellers going on longer trips or holidays. There is one main Stansted long stay car park, known as Pink Elephant Stansted, which is situated on the outskirts of the airport and is open all year round.

To reach the airport terminal from the Stansted long stay car park a transfer service operates between the car park and the terminal. This service runs every 20 minutes with the transfer to the terminal taking 10 – 15 minutes. During peak times the transfer may take longer.
